General Function & Key Objectives:

Primary Responsibilities:

* Support and implement factory initiatives regarding this new product line. Duties will include carrying out market surveys, confirm the existence of these machines in our territory, research and recommend new markets in the USA for these products, and prioritizing the markets we should go after.
* Communicate with our Parts & Services group to insure technical support and inventory are in place to support our customers, and confirm part numbers are set up in the system, so we can transact this business.
* Develop a portfolio of competitor information including product specification, current representatives in the USA, and market shares if possible.
* Establish market prices and ensure discipline in the application of such pricing.
Support the sales force in their sales efforts, including assisting in preparation of major quotations, product application studies, analysis of competition, and sales support material.
* Train and support other Area Sales Managers in product and commercial issues.
* Initiate and control all non-warranty or factory upgrades and improvements. This includes but is not limited to the installation of optional equipment before delivery, repair of returned rental equipment and value-added upgrades of fleet equipment.Bachelor of Science Degree. General knowledge of civil construction or underground mining applications. Ability to learn details of new products and applications.
* Plan, organize and administer equipment demonstrations.
* Work with Rental Department to initiate URE monthly rental invoicing if applicable.
* Assess and define customer applications so that the correct product can be represented. Ensure integrity in the application of the products.
* Handle special URE related projects as needed.
* Develop and manage the introduction of new products through the execution of Marketing Strategies.
* Promote the Sales of Atlas Copco after-market products (service, parts, rock drills, etc.

Service Scheduling (70%) – Receive incoming calls for service of compressed air equipment, and schedule all shop and field service repairs in BPSC and MAM. Work with the Service Manager to coordinate the activities of the Service Department and maximize Service Technician utilization. Serve as information liaison between the Service Manager, Service Technicians, and customers – providing regular updates to customers regarding service that is in process. Provide price quotations for service jobs to customers. Report completed service jobs and/or problem areas on a daily basis to the Service Manager.

Service Administration (30%) – Maintain (edit as needed) scheduled service orders in BPSC/MAM (including both manual orders and service contracts) and facilitate the closing of service orders approved for invoicing. Place orders for parts required to complete service orders, and work to expedite the delivery of these orders, as needed. Complete administrative requirements for element return function.

Compressor Preventative Maintenance and Repairs (80%) – Perform routine, preventative maintenance and repairs on oil injected and oil-free air compressors. Preventative maintenance should be conducted in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations (with regards to schedule and scope).
